Supply chain assurance
Every lot goes through the same checks from source to shipment. Pick an inspection result to see where the lot goes next, and select a step for details.
Standard lots: arrival checks and visual inspection, then report and shipment.
When lab testing is requested, the lot ships only after it passes.
A failed lot goes back to the source, and the result is logged against it.
Before purchase
Supplier screening
Before we buy, each source is reviewed against its grade and its record with us: quotes, orders, late deliveries, returns and inspection results.
How sources are gradedOn arrival
Packaging check
We check the outer and inner packing, reel or tray, and moisture barrier bag against what the manufacturer normally ships.
On arrival
Datasheet review
We pull the datasheet for the part number and keep it with the lot, so marking and package can be checked against it.
On arrival
Label check
Part number, quantity, date code and lot code on the labels are compared with the order and the datasheet.
Inspection
Visual inspection
Marking, leads, package surface and date code are inspected under magnification. A lot that passes moves to reporting. A doubtful lot is held.
On request
Lab testing
Arranged when you ask for it or when the lot's risk calls for it. We agree the test scope with you, refer to the source's past record, and test the component's internal function.
After passing
Test report and order check
Results are written up and checked against your order: part number, quantity, date code and delivery requirements.
After passing
Shipment
The lot ships to your destination together with the report and lot notes.
After failing
Return to source
A lot that fails visual inspection or testing goes back to the source. It is not shipped to you.
After failing
Supplier record
The failure is logged against the source. It feeds into the source's grade and whether we buy from it again.
See the evaluation criteriaScope stated in the quote
The quote lists which checks and tests apply. We go ahead with a named test method only when it is available.
Results travel with the lot
Reports and lot notes ship with the parts, so receiving can decide whether to accept the stock.
How sources are graded and reviewed
Sources are graded by how close they sit to the manufacturer, and reviewed on their record with us. Both are reference points when we choose where to buy, not fixed rules.
